aroundmv is a place where people, businesses and organizations in the Maldives share what's happening around them. This disclaimer explains what we are, and are not, responsible for.

Posts belong to the people who post them

Every post, listing, offer, job, request, event, review, message, photo and business profile on aroundmv is created by a user: a member of the community, a business, or an organization. It is their content, their view and their responsibility, not aroundmv's.

• The person or organization that posts something owns it and is responsible for it being accurate, lawful and theirs to share.
• Opinions, claims, prices, availability and descriptions in a post are the poster's own. They are not statements, opinions or recommendations of aroundmv.
• aroundmv does not sell, rent, hire or buy anything listed. We are not a party to any deal, job, rental, booking or arrangement between users, and we don't guarantee that one will go ahead or turn out as described.

Before you pay, travel, hire, rent or share personal details, check the details yourself with the person or business you're dealing with.

We monitor content continuously

All content on aroundmv is monitored continuously, by automated checks and by our moderation team, and anyone can report a post, profile or message.

• Some kinds of posts are reviewed before they appear. Everything else can be reviewed, hidden or removed at any time.
• Content that breaks our Terms of Use or the law is not acceptable. We remove it, usually without notice.
• Accounts that post such content, or that misuse aroundmv, will be deactivated. Serious cases may be reported to the relevant authorities.

Moderation reduces risk but can't catch everything immediately. If you see something wrong, please report it from the post or email us at hello@around.mv.

What "verified" means

A verified badge means we checked a specific thing, shown next to the badge (for example, that a business is registered). It confirms who is behind a profile. It is not an endorsement of the business, organization or any of its posts, products or services.

Official notices

Notices from verified official organizations are shown as they post them. In an emergency, or where timing matters (utilities, ferries, weather, health), always confirm with the organization directly or through official government channels.

Links to other sites

Posts may link to websites, apps or payment pages we don't control. We aren't responsible for their content, security or practices.

Limits of our responsibility

aroundmv is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, aroundmv and aroundmv are not liable for any loss or damage arising from content posted by users, from dealings between users, or from relying on information shown on the site. Nothing here limits rights you have under Maldivian law that cannot be limited.
